Frequently asked questions (FAQ)
Q: Is there parking available?
A: Yes, parking is available for all guests of our hotel for a price of 19 euros per night. When you arrive just leave your car in front of hotel, and our valet will park it for you. From December 2019, Hotel CUBO provides the charging service for electric vehicles, allowing guests and visitors to charge their cars at the most convenient moment of the day.
Q: What is your children policy?
A: For all children up to and including 1 year of age, the use of existing beds or a baby cot is free of charge. For all children up to and including 5 years of age, there is an additional charge of €10.00 per child per night and €15.00 for children from 6 to 17 years of age. For an adult in a double room, a charge of €25.00 per night applies.
The maximum room capacity allows for one extra bed or a baby cot. All extra beds and baby cots are available upon request and must be confirmed by the hotel. Additional services are not included in the accommodation price and will be charged separately upon departure.
Q: Where are you located?
A: Hotel CUBO has an amazing location in the city center, just 5-minutes-walking distance to major attractions. It is located on the main street: Slovenska cesta 15.
Q: What payment methods are accepted?
A: We accept cash and all major credit cards as payment (Mastercard, Maestro, Visa, Diners).
Q: What types of rooms are available?
A: Hotel CUBO operates with 26 rooms: 3 single rooms, 2 junior suites and 21 double rooms.
Q: Can I change my room type upon check-in?
A: Yes, but such requests are subject to room availability, applicable charges, and rate difference at the time of check-in.
Q: Can I come with a dog?
A: We are a pet-friendly hotel so you are more than welcome to stay with a dog. The additional fee is 35 euros per night. We kindly ask that you don’t bring your pet to the dining area.
Q: Is it possible to leave the luggage after check-out for a couple of hours?
A: Yes, your luggage can be safely stored so you use the extra couple of hours to explore our beautiful city.
Q: Do you allow early check-in and late check-out?
A: Standard check-in time is from 15:00 and check-out by 12:00. However, sometimes we can meet your requests for early check-in and late check-out, but this is subject to availability. Additional charges may apply.
Q: When is the breakfast? Are there vegan options available?
A: A la carte breakfast is served daily from 7:00 to 10:00 am, weekends until 11:00am at the restaurant on the first floor. It also includes vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free meals.
Q: What are the restaurants that you recommend for dinner?
A: It depends on your preferences, but our favorites are Gostilna na gradu, Breg, Aftr, Georgie’s Bistro, and JB. Our receptionists would gladly make a reservation for you.
Q: Are extra beds available?
A: Yes, we have several rooms with an optional extra bed, it is just important to request it in advance. Certain charges might apply.
Q: Is there a fitness room in your hotel?
A: Yes, we have a fitness room available for all guests, which is accessible 24/7.
Q: Can I book your services by telephone or e-mail?
A: We always invite our clients to book directly, over a phone call, e-mail, or via website, as that is the way we can offer the best prices.
Q: How many rooms can I book at once?
A: You can book as many rooms as are available for the selected period, however, we recommend contacting us via e-mail, so we can ensure the best price for you.
Q: Why do you require my credit card details for bookings?
A: Your credit card details are required as a guarantee for your reservation in case of late cancellation or “no-show”, however, the payment is done at your departure.
Q: Do you offer any airport transfer services?
A: We always recommend our valuable partner “VIP transfers”. The price in one direction is 79 euros for one and two persons, and 103 euros for up to six persons. We can also gladly reserve an airport shuttle for you, the price is 12 euros per person. The price of taxi is usually much higher, so we always advise our guests to reserve the transfer services in advance, in order to avoid unnecessary costs.
Q: How do I cancel my reservation?
A: If you reserved the room over online travel agencies (such as Booking or Expedia), the cancellation policy is that you can cancel without the charges five days in advance. For cancellation please contact the online travel agency directly.
In the case of direct bookings, we accept only written cancellations, at least three days before arrival. In case of late cancellations and no-shows, we charge the total amount of the reservation.
Q: Are smoking rooms available?
A: Our hotel offers only non-smoking rooms as Slovenian law prohibits smoking indoors. Smoking is strictly prohibited in all common hotel areas, rooms, the restaurant, and event halls. Hotel CUBO reserves the right to charge a cleaning fee of €200.00 in case of non-compliance with these rules.
Q: How can we reserve a conference room for a business meeting?
A: The best way is to send an e-mail to reception@hotelcubo.si and we will prepare an offer for you based on your requires and wishes.
Q: Is it possible to have any additional meals in the hotel besides breakfast?
A: Currently we offer our guests a la carte breakfast. From monday to friday from 11:00am to 9:00 pm and sundays from 12:00 noon to 8:00pm we offer room service with options of Thai cousine and 24/7 there are snacks available such as Margherita and Salami pizzella as well as a Toscana and proscutto toast. Please contact our reception if you need any help with room service options.
